My phone was with tiscali, since talk talk took tiscali over there seems to have been an increase in unsolicited calls including calls from (08) 8362 7000 even though xd and tps, I have caller ID and don't answer calls of unknown origin so don't know what they want.Am getting fed up with phone calls and worsening internet speeds so perhaps time for a change.

Just had a call from this number, he spoke to my husband and asked if we had recieved our local paper and checked his name and address, which caught him completely off guard.
The guy hung up as soon as he had the information without saying where he was calling from and again it was a foreign man.

This is our first phonecall of this nature, but from the above I think we can expect more.

I have been having a lot of odd calls since having my bank account accessed without my consent. I lost over £1000 and since then I have had automated calls claiming to be my bank, I know this is not them because I have requested not to receive phone calls from them. This number has now started calling me and when asked who the company is he doesn't answer.

I have contacted my local free paper to fnd out if they have entered into a survey or something but haven't heard back yet. If they can shed light on this I will post again on this site.

i have received a call from this number this evening, caller asked if i had received a copy of the sandwell chronicle last week, didn't give him a chance to say anything else i just disconected the call, he called back again but i let it go to the answer phone and he rang off.
Like someone else listed I have also noticed an increase in unsolicited calls since talk talk took over tiscali. a friend has advised that when you change your line provider you need to re-register with the telephone preference service.

This is one of those pest calls not to be trusted!!  Please would you take the appropriate action to stop these calls before I call either the police or BT to investigate further!! Harassment is a serious matter!!

Further research indicates that "088" numbers are routed through Azerbaijan by this company http://bit.ly/aTNc9C
I cannot see any circumstances in which a company outside Azerbaijan would choose to route its calls through that country unless it had something to hide. By using these "088" numbers, the cold callers avoid being traced to any specific country or even to a mobile telephone issued in a specific country. By definition, therefore, they are not to be trusted with any information, including your name and address.
