i never answered the calls, they are very persistant.

They’ve called me almost every hour this afternoon but don’t leave a voicemail message. They phoned me as soon as I signed up with AGL in December and it made me uncomfortable when they asked me to confirm my details. Shouldn’t they know? Felt dodgy. They then signed me up for things I didn’t agree to, but they probably didn’t hear my No because they were talking over me and saying “yeah yeah ok now let me tell you about our…” to cut me off.
VERY annoying and people like that should not have access to make changes to our accounts. Their calls have started up again and I WILL not be answering! Thank goodness this site exists.

Get ready for another load of scam texts I guess

Caller: "AGL"

Called me at about 12:34pm. Seemed to know obviously my mobile number, my name and suburb but they didnt ask for me to confirm details or anything. Insisted I look into "the best plan for your account with AGL". I told them I was happy with what I had and wished to stay with what I had. Wouldn't take no for an answer. Insisted I couldn't and that and that I must hear them all out due to "interest rates gone up". They waffled on for a couple minutes before I hung up on them. An hour has passed and I haven't recieved another call back

Caller: AGL Marketer (Could be fraudulant)

The first time they called they hung up immediately. The second time they called they tried to tell me that I was eligible for a new AGL phone plan because I'd been with AGL for so long.
The agent went through the whole sales spiel without taking a breath so I couldn't tell her I wasn't interested. I eventually said that I am not interested as I have just renewed and she continued with her pitch saying that she could send me multiple SIM cards for other family members. I said no again so she switched to trying to sell me an upgraded NBN plan. I said I don't want to do that either and she told me to have a lovely day and hung up.

It could have been legitimate as AGL does have mobile and NBN plans, however, the aggressive no breath sales pitch was very off-putting.

this number has been calling me daily, twice a day. the first time I answered, she told me she is from AGL and wanted to find out if I am happy with my plan. I said I was but told her to check on my solar rebates. Then she asked me to verify myself. I thought if you are the one calling me why do I have to verify myself? Told her I was busy and to call back later but she didn't. tried ringing me the next day. I didn't answer. I don't know if it is legit.

Caller: "Randal from AGL"

This person was telling me he can upgrade my AGL plan, I initially told him I dont have time and that I had to go, he said "this wont take 5 minutes" and kept talking over the top of me.
He then wanted to confirm my name, he knew my first name but not my surname. I told him he should know my name if he called me. I told him I was busy and hung up.
He then called me again, I said "I told you I'm busy, I'm happy with my plan" he yelled at me "and I told you this won't take 5 minutes"
I told him he's ridiculous and hung up.

contacted agl and was told that no-one from their sales department had contacted me recently.

Claim to be AGL and offered a better plan. Seemed legitimate?
