Man claimed to be from ATO having a report on me conducting tax fraud. When I told him I suspected this was a scam call he denied it but was quick to finish the call and didn’t offer any proof of his validity.

Caller: AI entity with American accent - very clearly a script

Told me to call back on number immediately or a warrant for my arrest would be issued. Repeated at end of brief call I would be arrested immediately if I didn't ring back and then ended by wishing me "God Bless" - hilarious!

Man with Indian accent claimed to be investigating fraud for ATO. I avoided giving him details as he sounded dodgy and he quickly ended call saying "be prepared to be arrested".

Called number back, Indian guy claiming to be from ATO legal department. I called him a scamming c**t and he hung up, I tried to call back but they blocked my number.

Indian Guy telling me that he is from ATO and someone has complained about my tax. I told him I am retired and I don't have any tax owing as I am on a pension. He hang up. I called the number back and he answered saying Australian Tax Office how can I help you. His English was extremely bad

A very foreign person called saying they were from the Australian Federal Police - not that he could say the word federal. Normal stuff - complaint filed, give them money etc. I congratulated him on his career choice, told him his mum and dad would be proud of him and then told him where to go.

I was called by John and he said he was with the ATO and said I had some fraud charges or something like that. I called him out and he hung up.

Had a missed call from this number, don't know anyone in Adelaide SA, googled number and found this, glad I didn't answer.

Indian guy claimed from ATO saying someone laying criminal charges against me and ask do I have a criminal lawyer to represent me. Obviously he is not familiar with the legal system here.

But I wonder how do you locate these guys.

Indian claiming to be a police officer - ATO scammer

Got a call from this number. The Indian sounding voice claimed he was Detective John Williams (how original) from the ATO calling about sending me a tax refund to the tune of $995.45....... in exchange for my credit card number.
Nothing but scammers but they've flipped the script from claiming I owe the ATO money to claiming the ATO owes me money.
