They claim to be ATO officers threatening you with arrest and huge penalties to pay.
They will simulate a tax agent call to quickly pay your “overdue taxes” to avoid further implications. Do not give your credit card!!

This is an automated voice response ATO TAX SCAM telling you ro ring a certain number to avoid federal prosecution.

Automated call - threatening grand jury action and terrible English. We don't have a grand jury in Australia and there was no mention of what I had apparently done that would warrant this. Terrible low life scam intended to prey on the vulnerable. Avoid calling them back and please block them.

Just got a call from this number and a message left on my voicemail threatening that if I ignore that message, I will be sent to court bla bla. Funny as I am in good terms with the taxation office, tax being paid and an accountant doing my tax. I should call back and if I get trough, stuff them around. Like 'you've just called the Taxation Office. ' lol
