Caller type: Political call
Location: Australia
Caller: Mr Simpson

Phoned Friday 17 May 2019 5:53pm, ie, outside close of campaign advertising. Mr Simpson said he had to payout a lot of money for cancer treatment and because of Labor's policy for Cancer Free Treatment we should vote Labor. If Mr Simpson was out of pocket for heaps of dollars how could he afford to set up a system of phoning landline numbers. How was he able to access all those phone numbers and did HE personally have the expertise to instigate the calls. My view is I believe he was being backed by the Labor Party and if that is true, then there has been a breach of the rules under the Australian Electrical Commission. I am firmly of the view that once can election is called that ONLY CANDIDATES STANDING DURING THE ELECTION SHOULD BE ABLE TO ADVERTISE, PHONE TEXT OR OTHERWISE CONTACT VOTERS IN THIS COUNTRY. I AM CERTAIN THAT IF SUCH A RULE WAS ENACTED THEN VOTERS OF THIS COUNTRY WOULD BE MUCH HAPPIER AND WOULD GRATEFUL FOR THE LESS HASSLE WE VOTERS ARE SUBJECTED TO.

I was called by this number at 10.17am on Tuesday the 21st May 2019 in Perth WST but was not here to take the call and No message was left. When I returned the missed call it simply said something like "leave a message" and a beep, with NO indication as to whose number it was. Looked this number up on the Reverse phone site and have seen the above comment from a call by Mr Simpson on Friday the 17th May. Frankly I quite agree with the above comments and it could also be construed as a Charity call. It is also questionable as to how legitimate the call from the purported Mr Simpson is. If it is a Charity call then the caller's identity should certainly be made on the phone message as this would also be in clear breach of the Do Not Call Register rules and regulations. Perhaps someone else with time on their hands could take this up with the Electoral Commission and the Do Not Call Registry. I am already being hounded by non-stop scam callers since the NBN has been connected down my street and this is another example of invasion of privacy and unsolicited audible pollution.

This number phoned. This person spoofs your number. Makes telemarketer calls and charges this to you. Look on your phone bill for an 82 cents charge . You're paying for these people to ruin peoples lives. Tried calling Telstra they cannot trace these people or identify the scammers. Total waste of time

I'm in the US and just got a call on my mobile from this number. I didn't answer and no voicemail was left. The Caller ID just said Adelaide, South Australia. Thank you to previous posters for reporting this as spam.

Yet another stupid scam call from "the technical department of Windows" (yes, they apparently have a single technical department that monitors all computers). The woman would probably have told me I had a computer virus although I haven't run Windows for 12 years - except that I said that no, I wasn't the owner but the cleaning lady. If only something could be done about these scammers.

Robo call supposedly from nbn saying I will have phone and internet cut off within 24hrs. Pushed option 1 to connect to a technician. Heard a few garbled words in heavily accented voice and then line was disconnected

I had a call from this number at 8:10am Tue 28 May - 10 days after the election. I didn't answer it but if this was really an ALP robo call they should be extremely heavily fined by the Electoral Commission.
