Claims to be a technician from Optus. Wanting me to check my I P address on my browser and make changes. Argumentative and repeatedly stating Optus will take no responsibility for loss of my confidential information if I don’t follow his instructions. Very upsetting call. Unable to prove he’s not a scammer.

Caller: Scammer, probably India

Said he was from Commonwealth bank and someone had tried to buy a travel voucher from my account. $1000. Asked if I was aware of this payment. When I said yes he said he would put me through to his manager and promptly hung up.

Called on 19/11/25, and possibly a few days ago too. Adelaide number. Left no message. Blocking the number.
