So, trying to not be annoyed about calls being blocked by something pretending to be 'helping me', I rang that number, which had been remotely blocked from me answering. I did so in order that I may be able to be in full possession of facts prior to giving or not giving consent of any type.
I confirmed that the 'receptionist' is not human, even though the fem voice claimed it was, then went on to describe itself as 'a virtual assistant'. That assistant, presumably primed to negotiate identity by submitting me to some undefined vetting system, stated that the call either was or was about to be recorded - unkown what company, or purpose. It was likely stated, but I did not hear it.
There was nil indication that the human ( ie me) meritted any meaningful discussion, thereby accentuating the faulty process of evaluation in play. Even while I spoke, the 'virtual sssistant' which default, was to lie by both ommission & commission, continued the rote / recorded instruction. I terminated the call.
No-one should interact with virtual assistants, artificial intelligence or other sub categories of same. So many of those entities are posingvas legitimate in postions of power.Please use critical thinking, engage the brain, or it will turn ito mush
