Scam ; picked up and no one answered

Caller: Someone based in India

Scam call from Indian call centre. Said there was something wrong with out Telstra internet connection and there was virus/hack/malicious data breach/etc., but we don't have internet with Telstra.

Ah - I got a missed call from (08) 7092 2569 which I guess is the person 2 desks down.....

Didn’t pick up, no message. Call supposedly came from Adelaide, SA

I received a phone call from that number today too.

Scamer said he was from Amazon security

I just got a call from this number, but didn't pick up. After reading these comments, I am glad I didn't.

Said my name a few times then said motherf*cker before hanging up.

Caller: Security division of PayPal

“We just need to verify something. A few minutes ago a claim was lodged on your PayPal account for $990 for various gift cards.
Press 1 if you are ok with that
Press 2 if you want us to investigate this

I know that is not how requests for payments work in PayPal accounts

Scam after your account details , then clean you out , don’t give there a pox on their existence !!

As pr the above. This number (and variations with the last two digits differing) consistently calling over the last week. I never pick up!

They is number tried calling me 4 times over a couple of days. Did not leave a message. Tried calling back and the number doesn’t ring.
Scam.

Missed call at 1:53pm AEST. Tried to return call and it doesn't dial. Saw previous messages here saying scam, so suspect they've hijacked a phone number to call out from but not receive calls.

Called about Visa card payment

Have been receiving calls from this number either Hangup or tell me my internet is faulty. I hung up, believe it is scam call.

Claiming to be from ebay, suggesting I had been charged $391. I immediately hung up

Caller: Claiming to be from visa

Said I had a mystery payment to check press 1 so i hung up dont have a Visa card.

Hung up as soon as I answered. The caller is now blocked after reviewing feedback on this website.Thanks to all contributers,
