Caller: Hackers from India Pure hacking attempt. Tried to pretend they were from Amazon, and took me through very complicated instructions to give them total control of my phone by downloading anydesk. I took them all the way through the scam to see how it would work, without actually doing any of it, and what they do is take control of your phone, then hunt around to see if you have any banking apps, then ask you for your bank details to 'refund' you money, while stealing all of it. Pure criminals.

Caller: Claimed to be from NBN Called my mobile, Claimed to be from NBN and had observed slow internet speeds and was arranging for upgrade to FTTP that would not cost me a "Penny" Indian female. Asked if lights were flashing or stable on modem, I said stable and then I asked what my name was, couldnt answer, I asked what my address was, again couldnt answer but her technician would go through all contact details with me shortly. I then asked what state am I in? She said Victoria, I said bad guess scammer as I am in another state and she hung up. Didnt get as far as finding out how the scam would work. Basically the same number with a couple of digits different at the end has called 3 times in 24hrs.

Caller: Very rude person with Indian accent Ramble about NBN and some concerns about sharing my IP. Did not want to provide name or how did he get my phone number. When asked politely to hang up he became agitated and threatened he will pass on my phone number to ‘everyone’ to call me as much as possible

Caller: Scammer They pretend to be NBN, advising you that your internet security is compromised. They ask you to check My IP Address Location, which always points to California which is a known phishing scam. They then ask you to download AnyDesk to provide them with remote access. Criminals.
