Automated message telling me there was a suspicious transaction on my PayPal account (I don’t have PayPal). Called from an Adelaide landline, hence I picked up.

left a 20second voice mail that said "hello" 3 times. Now blocked number

Seemed like a robo call. I pickup without answering, call drops off within a few seconds.
These calls come in waves every month or so, as the phone numbers are shopped around by the teams of scammers.
The trick is not to speak immediately, a genuine caller will wait 5-10 seconds for a response.

Scam - said my visa had been hacked to buy bitcoin and then two different sounding voices told me to hold and then an indian sounding man asked me how my day was going -

A recorded message informing me that, “I have an outstanding balance of $1300 on my Visa card or MasterCard” I suppose they wanted me to call them back and give them payment? Blocked their number. Find something better to do with your lives

Blocked this number. They rand twice on my mobile this afternoon
