Scam call, Posing as Telstra, trying to claim suspicious internet activity and fishing for info. Know scam on Telstra website

Just received call from a woman with an Indian accent, you could hear the call centre in background.
She was saying that she was calling about the internet on the phone I was using. She said she was calling from Telstra and wanted my IP address detail or something similar. They try to phish for your private details, so I said to her give me your supervisors name and the contact number and I’ll call back.
She said it’s the number on your screen, she then hung up.

Big companies won’t call you, always tell them to give you their name, ID number and contact number and you will call them back.

Majority of the time the numbers calling you have been “spoofed”, which means they use it as a disguise and possibly calling from overseas.

Number says it’s from Adelaide… when I answered they hung up… suspected scam

Scam call from "Telstra" about my internet connection

Caller: Scam

Called saying they were from Visa and I had suspicious activity on my Visa card from overseas. When I asked what bank it was for, they said Commonwealth bank - I don't have a Commonwealth bank account!!

The phone DID NOT RING. Text message to say I missed a call from this number - (08) 7092 2524. The phone company highlighted the call as "POTENTIAL FRAUD". I rang the number from a silent number - It rang one then disconnected. I blocked the number.

“Eric” claimed to be from Telstra internet, telling me they’ve had some suspicious activity from my account. When I told him I don’t have Telstra internet he was pi$$ed and said “I know what mam!” So don’t waste my time trying to scam me Eric!!!

Received a call from this unrecognised number. No message. A long reported history of calls from this number indicates its likely yet another scam.
