Claiming to be national broadband network wanting to performs a security check on the network.

Immediately hung up on answering

Caller: Said they are from telestar

Said that my router has been used by several people. When i say i dont have a laptop to do the so calle security test, she ended the call

Caller: Dangerous people

Threatened to harm my family if we didn't deposit money into their bank account.

They said they were from the Federal Trade Commission. Hung up after he starting asking questions. Shouldn’t have answered. Have blocked the number

Women with American accent, claimed to be from Wellington Management, could hear many other people talking in background (call centre). Told me I have been dealing with investment trading platforms, I said “no”, she then said “well maybe you have invested in crypto scams”. I asked her “what are you trying to sell me”, the reply was “nothing, but we can help you if you have been scammed or had bad investment’s”, I cut her off and said “thanks for your call, bye”.

During the call, both in the middle of the women’s sentences and every time she finished talking, it sounded like the line went dead for a split second. Made me think if it was an automated response using AI??? Either way beware of this number, def a scam!

Called saying was from PayPal checking if I authorised payment at 4am for $…… I hung up

Knew my name and then hung up. Called back - no response, would not connect. Disconnected number. Scammer but he knows me...

Said a purchase was made on my Mastercard for $800 worth of gift cards. I hung up immediately.

Scam call talking about some purchase on my account. I asked which one and they hung up. Scam scam scam.

Female caller with strong Indian accent said they were from insurance company and received information I was in an accident. Noise in background sounded like a call centre. Hung up immediately, undoubtedly a scam

Missed call from this number. Did not call back after reading everyone else's comments

Thick East Indian Accent, noise like traffic in background. He wanted to talk to me about my Visa and Mastercard. Hung up when I asked what that was...

Didn't answer. Voicemail was a computer generated message asking me to confirm a fraud charge on my account. No such charge. Scam.

Claimed to be my broadband provider but called on a company phone that does not have that so obviously a scam.

It didn't leave a message. Thanks to the previous posts on this website. Pretty sure it's scam call.

Claimed there was a problem with a potential overseas banking transaction underway. I said I would talk to my bank directly if there was a problem and hung up
