Caller: Taronga Zoo

It was a man who spoke to me. It sounded legitimate and I did sign a petition on Instagram. However, when he asked for monthly payment I asked if they could send me an email with it all in writing and online payment as I was a bit sus. He said they couldn't do that, which is really weird. I logged onto the taronga zoo website and said I would donate via the website and he said that I can do that instead. It was a bit sus, I definitely wouldn't pay ANYTHING over the phone but I think donating via the website is a good idea.

Caller: Claimed to be associated with Taronga Zoo

Don’t understand why they were calling. Said they were to do with Taronga Zoo. Tried to ask if I’d be ok with them recording our call - claimed they got my details from a Facebook survey which I don’t remember ever taking. Hung up and blocked their number.

Caller: Someone from Sydney

Did a petition about conservation and the caller was nice and all til she was trying to pressure me into giving them monthly to save the koalas and manipulate me into thinking I’m killing the koala by not paying
