rang and didn’t leave a message so have blocked it after reading other caller comments

sounds like a marketing campaign. BLOCK!

Rang but I didn't answer. I checked reverse Australia and this number appeared.

Didn't recognise the number... read the reviews on this website and decided to block the number.

A lady rang said she was from RAC. offered explicit sexual favour for a price. Contracted police as this is an illegal type of service provided by RAC new division.

VERY ANNOYING RAC - Called, did not leave a message. So I called back.
I was told I had received the RAC call because I was due for service. I explained I had just done a service in September 2018, and its now December 2018.
RAC, Said we like to courtesy call, and book you in advance.
To which I replied, ... three months in advance ???, that is odd, plus if you look at my service history, I service every 12 months.
RAC replied, Its just a courtesy call.
To which I replied, so why hung up, NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE if its a courtesy call, so i know why you called.
I was all worried someone had made a claim against me, or my daughter was in an accident, or something, why NOT LEAVE A MESSAGE.
RAC, like a robot ... its just a courtesy call, we don't leave messages.

A female called from this number, to my family mobile number claiming to be from the RAC. Then told me I would now need to identify myself to her by giving her my full name, address and date of birth, before she can let me know why she's calling...seriously!?

I too had the same number call me & I called the number back from a different phone and yes I can confirm that its RAC Distribution.

I enquired RE finance and they were calling me back

They called and since i didnt recognize the number i ignored them. If its important theyre capable of leaving a voicemail.

Had the call twice from this number. The first time was on Friday 18th August 2017 and I decided to call it back and yes it was the RACWA and the lady who I spoke to had no idea why that particular number would be calling me. The second time was on 22nd August 2017 and I answered and said hello with my name and then it just hung up.

Very strange indeed!
