I didn’t recognise the number. I refused the call (busy at work). They left no message

I called them back, they answered instantly without a greeting. I had to say "Hello" first after about 5 seconds.

Children were heard the the background.

The woman who spoke had a weak Indian accent and advised that my phone number was selecting by a "company" to receive a free smart phone.

They started explaining some of the phone features then asked for my first name, at which point I ended the call.

I went this far just to see, I was never going to go through with it.

Picked up as it was perth local number and then caller hung up straight away.

Phone provided identified this as potential fraud. Have blocked this number.

Scam

Rang my number, saw it was from Perth, I don't live in Perth, don't know anyone in Perth either. It rang 3 times, went to voice message as I was on a call already to someone I know. Did not leave a message. Have blocked call given the info posted by all the people here.

I wish these bloody people would stop ringing. Telcos need to close people like this down.

Missed the call but message from my carrier (Telstra) saying "Suspected Scam".

Number said it was from Perth, I do not live in Perth and haven't given anyone in Perth my number. Based on other comments I'm suspecting spam.

obvious Marketing call from foreign accented lady, seeking customers for their mobile plan arm of business. Total cheek, I hung up after their introduction and Blocked their number. Not the way to do business in my opinion.

Used Google AI screening, hung up instantly upon receiving it. Don't answer, any legit business will prompt you why they're calling or leave a voice message
