Offered a free/heavily discounted phone as part of a Christmas promotion (suspected scam)

I ignore any call from unknown number. Turns out this has been reported before.

Told tem not to call again and the response was 'why?' ha ha :)

This is a regional SA number, I don't know anyone over there -- Called my mobile in Perth and no message left. If try calling back it just disconnects immediately. Thanks to this site I can see that many others have been affected. I have used this site dozens and dozens (scores) of times.

I didnt pick up but then 15 minutes later another suspicious number called which i also ignored

Tried to call me around 1pm local time today just before I posted this message. Did not pick up as I suspected spam, came here to find out that it is! Left no voicemail.

Rang three times and then hung up. No message left.

Didn't answer but they left a message and when I opened the message it called another number. I immediately disconnected the call and have now blocked this number. Received on a Saturday around noon.

Didn’t answer because I’m receiving many scam calls and messages on a daily basis, so I just put it down to a scam call. Thanks to the warnings on this website, I know it’s a scam.
