Had a strong Indian accent and then hung up

Dodgy number, didn’t answer then checked on here... typical!

Called back said the number was not in service kind of tells me I don’t want to know about it

A lady called and said she was from the ABS and asked me a yes and no question, after giving her a yes to my age bracket she asked about my material status and I said I don't wish to answer she hung up. This is a scammer and from reading the other comments she stealing out information.

Caller: Women claiming to be Aust Bureau of Statistics

When I said "again from the ABS" and asked why ABS keeps calling me - nothing but crickets - and she hung up

I don't know anyone who would be calling me from a Perth number so didn't answer. Looks like it's a scam call anyway according to the other comments.

Called back to "this call cannot be completed at this time, please hang up and try again later'
wont be doing that... blocked and reported :)

Called, asked for me by name, then hung up. North American accent

Called and hung up when answered, call back says number not connected. Do as I have done and block this number

Scam no voice just a very loud (aggressive?) Ding/ping down the line

I had an Indian man asking for me to confirm my name and post code. I think he said he was calling from the Australian Bureau of Statistics but sounds more like a scam.

Claimed to be from ABS Australian Bureau of Statistics. Scam!

Falsely claiming to be the ABS doing a census. Scammers information gathering.

Lady said calling about census and then started asking questions. She had my name and asked if I was working, mortgage or renting. I asked if this information would not be in the census, she said it was to update her records and was just five questions to complete but I hung up.

Called said was from Australian Bureau of Stats, I said I used to work for them (as did) then hung up?

Called saying they were from the ABS and it was to do with the census then started asking questions- I told them that’s not how the ABS works and they hung up. Have reported this to the ABS.
