An unidentified call just now, 18/4/24. I didn't answer and a message was left saying an amount had been charged to my debit card and press 1 etc. The scammers just keep on trying....

Answered the phone and after a few seconds they hung up. Definitely a scam

Claimed to be from Amazon. Had my name and email address on file, but not an email that I have ever used to order anything on Amazon. Had the whole vibe of a scam call, particularly when I casually suggested that they might be a scammer.

Spoke to mark from "Amazon" and they told me that they need my details to check if I made a $1700 gift card purchase, I asked if I could see the info on my amazon account and then they proceeded to fumble over their words and then hung up 😂

Stated from Commonwealth Bank had my name and address details. They hung up when I queried details.

Scam call received 08/07/24. Shared Perth Australia as incoming call location.

Clearly another scammer according to so many posts.

Scammers use auto-dialling equipment. If you answer quickly, they talk to you. The other phone calls are dropped. This means they move on quickly and can ignore unanswered and non-connected phone lines.

Thanks to all the previous posters here - yet another scam call - Lots of 8s in the number and a 4 - Important numbers in some gambling cultures, so perhaps this is seen by scammers as a valuable scamming number to use for scamming? Deleted.

Call received. Phone automatically marked call as Fraud. Did not answer.
