Being spammed with a robocall is annoying, even if it is by a legitimate charity.

Caller: Said they were from MS lottery , then when I said I had already purchased a ticket she said it wasn’t on their system and wanted my details , I said it’s fine I know I have a ticket , I believe this could be a scam call to get your details , why would I give my personal details to a random caller , !!

Possibly scam call by accent and wanted my details

I buy a ticket in every MSWA Lottery but still get constant calls and letter box mail, addressed to me, with a big envelope of full colour brochures asking me to buy a ticket. In this digital age surely once a ticket is purchased it shows up in their data base and there is no need for further contact. This huge expense surely erodes, and in my opinion. negates their fun raising efforts and turns them into just a money making scheme to pay off these extra and unnecessary expenses. I don't answer the calls and am reconsidering my regular purchases. My money will go elsewhere, to a fundraiser where I am not being constantly pestered.

Call Catcher to the rescue, I am having a mental health day and if this caller had got past Call Catcher I would have cursed them a thousand times and been Stressed for the rest of the day.

Received a few calls which are presumably from MSWA Lottery (have bought tickets before) - I don’t normally pick up calls from unknown numbers. This is annoying. If I have not bought a ticket this year, it means I do not want to.

This number has called me 3 times, I have not answered but they keep trying. I've purchased tickets before so it's re-marketing I guess.

Fun Fact: Apparently, professional fundraising workers in Australia typically earn an average annual salary ranging from $75,000 to $90,000.

I am doubtful this was actually MS lottery as this is not their contact number. I believe it is a scam caller pretending to be the charity.

I answered the call and they hung up. It didn't seem like a legitimate call to me.

Yes I do understand it's a legitimate charity. A very needy one. However, if I were to give to every needy charity over the phone, i would have no time (or money) to give. Also, we would have trouble deciding if a charity is legitimate or not.

Had the details correct for the draw dates of MSWA, but gave the wrong name of the previous ticket buyer, and wanted me to give that person’s email address even though they said they could not give it out to me.
