Caller: Marina

Marina called and texted and called and texted and called and texted...you get the idea. Calling about someone else on a 'personal financial matter' and trying to track them down 'urgently'. This a scam for sure and like others, I have no idea how she got my contact details. Stay clear and don't panic, just block her numbers and don't engage her - Ever!

I think we can all collectivly agree that any unsolicited call we recieve should be treated with extreem caution Let's make it normal that you don't talk to these scamming muppets about anything.

Same message received today as stated above. I've reported with my phone company and blocked the number

I got a call from this number asking about my uncle. My parents got the call asking about my uncle too from Mirena. I never picked up as I thought it was a scammer. But they left a voicemail

Called to ask for a relative with same sir name .. trying to get in contact with this guy.

I missed a call from a mobile number 0428 105 108. She then left a text message "Please contact Marina as soon as possible on (08) 6214 4483 regarding an important matter. Thank you".
I called the phone number back. She said I was being recorded, that her name was Marina Pech she was from a Finance company in Perth and she was looking for a friend of mine Leica Cox. I said "you must have the wrong person I don't know a Lesha Cox." She then said my first and surname and asked if she had the correct person. I said, "that's my name, however my surname is very generic and you must have the wrong person". Very Very strange call. Blocked her numbers.

Exactly as the others. A woman called Marina (when I rang back and got her voice mail it sounds like her last name is Patch) rang from this number saying she had got my number off a public data base. She was looking for someone in Mt Isa whom she thought (when queried) I might know because I live in Qld!! She said she worked for a "Finance Company" several times and when pressed said it was "Pioneer". I had never heard of the person she was looking for. VERY DODGY.

Super dodgey. Called asking for a contact of a neighbor. Mentioned an old address of mine. I asked what her company was and she said she was calling from an office in Perth. I said which company again and she said it was a financial company she couldn't disclose. I just wasted her time and said I'd get Robyn Smith to call her. She said if she didn't call her she would call me back.

Sms from Marina saying it was important. When i phoned another lady asked for my name and tbat marina would phone back. I would give me name and she was defensive. I said if its important they will call back .. dodgy and fraudulent.. do not phone !!!!!

Claims to be from a finance company wanted to speak to her client and she said that Im being recorded and I said that I gave no consent to be recorded and hung up.
will proceed to report this to Police and Telecommunication Ombudsman.

Very unprofessional with message, hesistant and not articulate when I spoke to her. Requesting information about a third person, who she claimed was a client and lost details...right..so you want me to potentially help you breach the Privacy Act for information on your client that you were careless and lost their contact information? ??????? Yeah right! Perhaps u should be working off a better script!

she knew my name,phone number and address,she wanted me to pass on her number to a person in another flat next to me,when i started to ask questions she was defensive,this is the second call i have had,the first call was another woman asking about someone else in the block of flats

I called back the number (08) 6214 4483 and the guy on the other line said I reached Pioneer Credit

Marina called and asked me to call back about something important. Don't know who she is but she knows my name.

when I asked her where she is calling from she hung up. and I got a text telling me to call her about 'something important'. Have no idea!! Not looking for trouble today!
