Rang my landline in WA at 12.44pm today I did not know the number so did not answer. No message was left. Looking at reverse aust i see this is number was used last year for scams. Telephone companies should not be able to issue phone numbers for these activities.

Didn't leave a message, guess it was a scam call.

This a scam. Clearly from a call centre overseas. I played along while the guy said that my Visa or Mastercard had been alerted by security. I said it would have been my visa. He continued on saying he would help me get $1800 back. When I said should I call Visa or the bank, he said he could help me. I said that's interesting - considering I don't have a visa card and you are clearly a scammer. He hung up on me.

Called up telling me I had two purchases of $100 being used on my visa or Mastercard and if there are any other people using my card… I asked what bank and visa or mastercard he got scared and hung up

2 rings, no message. Came hot on heels from scam no in Melbourne.

A pre recorded message when I answered and, Apparently my ANZ account was hacked, I don’t bank with ANZ

Caller: Female with Indian accent claiming from Vodafone

She said she was from Vodafone and was offering 45% discount on mobile phone plan. I said scammer and she terminated call.

Caller didn't know my name said they were from ANZ but that's not my bank. Scam.

I answer by saying "thanks for your call, it is important to you", and they hang up!

Man claimed to be from Comm Bank about a suspicious $1,800 transaction on a credit card. I had a previous call from NSW "Comm Bank" last week from a woman witht he same message. Presume it is a scam as card not specified and no transaction existed.

Answered because I was expecting a call and some lady from what seemed like a long distance was speaking in Mandarin. Scam.

This call showed as coming from Perth, WA. When I answered there was background noise of a call centre and a man's voice with a strong Indian accent told me he was from Telstra and asked me if I knew a person named Mike Johnson who appeared to have been hacking into my telephone. I said I didn't know this person and the caller then asked if I had received any calls from Amazon. I told him that I had not received any such calls, then he told me that he had the solution to stop Mike Johnson from hacking into my phone. I then told him that I believed it was a scam and didn't want to continue with it, then I terminated the call.

22nd May 2023 - A woman rang saying she was from EBay and we had made a purchase for $480.00 and wanted to check it was us before processing the order. Clearly a scam.

Caller: NBN

Said she was NBN, I said really I did not realise that NBN conta.... she hung up

My phone blocked it as a spam, no message left
