Fraud, trying to get personal information. Why do the telco's do nothing to help the public on these frequently used scamming numbers?

Caller: Claimed to be from NBN

Says my NBN connection is fluctuating.

Scam claiming to be Amazon prime and letting me know they were renewing a subscription for $99.99 from my account.

I didn’t answer and they didn’t leave a message. Figured if it was a legit call they would

A recording told me that my Amazon account had an iPhone charged to it. I don't have an Amazon account

The want to know your IP. Do not give it to them.

Scam call 20/09

Caller: Commonwealth Bank

Has to be a scam, telling me $1800 was used in America for global travel and they wanted me to login to my bank and tell them if any more suspicious transactions have occurred

Did not answer, rang 3 times and stopped.

Caller: Scammer re Visa & Master Card

claimed she was from Visa and Master Card protection and that someone had tried to use my cards from Canada for Amazon and Ebay purchases. Asked for expiry date on my card and whether I had made the purchases and wanted to let them go ahead. Obviously didn't give her any data and told her I wished to end the conversation. She just hung up on me! Just read the posts from other people - this number should be closed down. Can't the authorities do anything about them??????

Said that my computer was having some sort of issues. I didn’t listen after that and I hung up. I think it is a scam.

Called midday on a Saturday. Typical scam caller. Added to the many other blocked numbers they use. Just a nuisance.

Tried to call me at 4:20am, missed call with no message. If it was important they would've called back.

The 3rd scam call/sms/email I've received TODAY......the 11th this month........the 124th this year (2023) so far........the 422nd since 'records began....in May 2020......

over 12 months later - this number is still doing the rounds - today he tried to get me into conversation - I suspected a set up for a scam - and hung up

Introduced herself as representing Third Party Liability Payments - I hung up

I answered the call....I don't normally pick up if no name...caller didn't answer and hung up !! obviously another YOBO !!

Received a call from this number yesterday. I didn’t answer and no message was left. After reading the comments here it looks like this number has been doing the rounds for a long time. Glad I didn’t answer it. It supposedly was from Perth so my phone records tell me.

Received a call from this number at 2:34 pm on the 28th of October 2022. I haven't been able to answer the call. The caller did not leave a message. I am hoping that some day these calls will stop.
