The caller identified themselves as working for some division of ebay stating they suspected a fraudulent transaction had been made using my ebay account. I wasn't able to understand the caller clearly but the information given was that I would need to provide my internet IP address in order for them to confirm my details and that my account had been used before being able to assist me to cancel the said transaction. I wasn't comfortable with doing that and reiterated my concerns many times stating there are many scammers working like this these days and how could I prove they were from the company they stated. Got nowhere, so I hung up.
