Caller: Ben/Brent from Follow Up Services My mum accidentally handed my details over to these guys. English accent asked if I'd been in an MVA in the last 12 months (I have and I've only just started coming back to work after 4 months in hospital) and if I knew that there was a lump sum payment allocated to me. I asked them to get in contact with my lawyer at Maurice Blackburn and the response was "Who's Maurice Blackburn?"
Really?? They've only had the exact same ad on the back of the Yellow Pages for the last 20 years. Plus, if you were involved in insurance and MVA's in any capacity, you'd know who Maurice Blackburn were...

Caller: They called me English man. Asked to speak to the manager. Was put on hold then spoke to the same guy but he tried to say he was someone different. He called me a liar and would not let me speak. Asked for my number to be deleted. Let’s see if they ring back

Scam call. Recorded msg about having an accident. I might be entitled to compensation. Press 1 for yes, 2 for no. I hung up. Will block this number now.

Caller: (08) 6117 3811 I've contacted the ACCC. So obviously a scam, the Northern England man didn't get very far with me. I'm calling him back to tell him the ACCC is on to him.

Missed call, so I phoned them back - yes they were keen to "discuss a car accident that I may have had". I laughed at her, and she actually laughed back.

I received a missed call from this number. Given what I have just read, I am glad I didn't answer.
What baffles me is how they got my number, given that it's unlisted.

Caller: A man from Liverpool A man, who I'm guessing from his accent was from Liverpool... I immediately told him to take my mobile number off his company's database. He said "don't you want to know what the call's about?" Knowing he was going to try and sell me something I said "No." He said, "It could be about the death of someone." I said, "Highly unlikely." He said "Well, if you don't want to know who's died" and then hung up. Hence, I looked up the number, and lo and behold, others have been treated the same!!

Caller: Male with a UK accent. This is was the second unsolicited call from the same number wanting to talk about your " recent traffic accident ". Just a scam. Caller had a UK accent. I told him to f**k Off and then blocked the number. The (08) prefix indicates that the calls are originated in Western Australia.
