impersonating ATO, request callback or Ato will issue warrant for arrest. on calling back ended up hanging up when I wouldn't volunteer information

Caller: SCAM from ATO Recorded message with male AUSTRALIAN accent saying the ATO had started a lawsuit in my name. What a JOKE. So over these bloody calls. My call log is filled with spam/scam calls, they take over the number of legitimate calls 8:1. Which is huge & disgraceful. Telcos - STOP FREELY GIVING OUT NUMBERS!! I can't even buy a mobile (without a SIM) without providing my driver's licence so how the hell are these spammers & scammers able to acquire so many damn numbers!! It's BS.
