The woman with a very heavy accent asked me if I was me (she said my first name) and when I hesitantly replied it was, she then asked me to confirm my post code. I then had to ask her 3 times to repeat the company she said she was ringing from because her accent was so heavy. I think she tried saying Fly and Drive Australia. She asked me if I remembered filling out some coupons at a store for anything. I told her I didn't and she said it was okay because it might have been a long time ago. Then she told me I had actually won a trip for 2 for 6 nights and 7 days to anywhere in Australia. There was a whole bunch of other stuff she mentioned but when she asked me to get a pen and paper so I could write down some information to discuss with my partner, I told her sure. I then hung up on her lol. She immediately tried to ring again and I ran to give the phone to my husband to have him answer but he answered too late. She tried to ring right away a 3rd time and when he answered, she asked to speak to me again. He played dumb and said, "Who?" SHE hung up on HIM! LMAO! I saved the number under Do Not Answer.

Caller: "Nite5"

Supposed to be cheap holiday packages from Nite5 (www.nite5.com). Offered us - by phone - 5 nights accommodation anywhere in Australia for $259. (Supposedly a competition win - we don't generally entered these sorts of competitions.)

Hubby told them I was out and he'd have to speak to me first. Said they would ring two hours later, which they did.

Being the suspicious kind, I did a search on their website and rang two of the prestigious hotels they had listed - The Hilton, and The Grand Stamford (both Adelaide).

Neither has ever heard of them.

Also, if you go to their website organically nothing comes up in the hotels search. They are only there if you go via the link they provide in an email. (That's for privacy they said!) Also, the domain name has only been registered for 69 days (as of 25/5/2018) Another red flag.

They did ring back, and weren't happy when I refused to put hubby on the phone. Tried to tell me they have a 'non-disclosure agreement' with those hotels and that's why they "couldn't" tell me about them. I told them I believed it was a scam, but it was like water off a duck's back.

Said they have an ABN and a company number (I'm not sure you can have both at once). AND a merchant account. I told him that means nothing - I have an ABN and merchant account for an online business, and anyone can get them.

Everything he said, I was able to refute. He was still determined, and said he would send me phone numbers of happy customers. (Really? Without their permission.)

Still waiting, and don't expect them to arrive.

I am 99.9% positive this is a scam.

Called at 11:45am.
Tried to have a genuine convo with these people but they didn’t want to. Just kept saying “Do you know the number you’re calling from?” I answered yes, and he repeated multiple times.
Called back couple of hours later and they asked me name, DOB, zip code etc.
Refused and asked them how they can’t look up on their record! He put me on hold and came back empty handed. ATO scams are dangerous, don’t fall for this!!!!!

1st call I told the guy he I was on a no call list and I asked to be put through to his manager. I spoke to his manager and told him to remove me from the call list. The original guys called me back and talked for 15:04 about how he'd lost his job and how his poor windowed mother would hear about this and how it was my fault he'd lost his job. I decided to keep him talking to see how long it would last 15:40 incredible.

They called yesterday and number came up as private. However, second person who came on the line to answer my questions was Michael.$259 x 5 vouchers valid for up to 24 months to be used anywhere in Australia or New Zealand. Two adults and two children under 12. Was on the phone for ages and finally I said I was going to hang up. I googled the site and it showed several hotels. All the photos showed three different rooms in different sequences and prices for apartments in Darwin, Hyatt in Sydney, suburban hotel in Middle Park, Victoria and a supposedly boutique style hotel in rural Victoria, On further investigation, it was a huge luxury hotel at Lake Victoria in Uganda! All the locations apparently had these identical three rooms on offer. I rang the Hyatt in Sydney and gave them the (02) number showing on the Nite5 site. They knew nothing about any deal with these obvious scammers. They also checked the website and said that none of the photos depicted any of their rooms. As someone has already said, "If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is". Can't wait for Michael to call again so that I can lead him on! Pretty sure they got my details from the telephone directory.

Michael (Indian sounding man) phoned at 7.30pm on 29/3/18, claiming they had a special promo deal on offer for 4 people (4 adults or 2 adults, 2 kids - your choice) in total going to any state in Australia or NZ, offering 5 nights for $249. Told me to Google Nite5.com to check out the hotels etc. All looks very legit on the website. All they ask in return is for genuine reviews of their accommodation you stay at, as word-of-mouth can be a good or BAD thing especially with social media he said. Told him I’d maybe think about it then he said the promo finishes on the 31/3/18. I said oh well, I’ll have to miss out. He said well if it continues after that date, I might be able to give you another call. I will avoid it like the plague after reading other posted comments. Good to get a heads up! The old saying - If it sounds too good to be true, then it usually is!!

Similar to previous reports. I listened patiently to Chris, and wrote out the details he suggested, but he then transferred me to his supervisor. HE said his name was Michael, and stressed he was from Drive and Fly Australia. I said that I did not need any more information and wanted to terminate the call. HE tried to continue the conversation but I thanked him, and then hung up.

He knew my name and full address & asked if I had filled out a coupon recently (which I hadn't). Went on to tell me how lucky was to have been selected for 5 nights accommodation for 2 adults & 2 kids anywhere in Australia for $249.00. He rambled on for a bit longer & transferred me to his supervisor. I listened to him for 15 minutes & said I had to go. He rang back the next evening & I informed him I wasn't interested. Well...didn't he crack the sh...ts. When he got abusive (apparently I wasted his time the evening before!!) I hung up. Next time this happens, I will not waste MY TIME listening to them.

Again (as stated above) asked if myself or a member of the family had filled in a coupon. They were very keen to say they were in Perth. You could tell it wasn’t above board- arses. When asked what their company did they ummed and ahhed.
