I agree with Paddy "Apple marketing, parasites skimming proceeds on behalf of charities. I have them diverted to a scammer answering service, they are free to chat to it as long as they like."

These calls are from Apple Marketing Group Pty Ltd is employed by registered charities to assist their fundraising efforts, this includes contacting donors both new and existing via telephone.

Calls from Australian Charities, or organisations calling on behalf of charities (such as Apple Marketing Group Pty Ltd) are not considered to be telemarketing calls, as outlined in the Do Not Call Register Act 2006.

Called and when I picked up they hung up. Have put them in my phone as spam caller.

Another crap charity grovelling for money, support for them now is ZERO they have worn out the welcome they are nothing more now than just a pain in the arse, but i don`t answer them the answer machine does

The number (07) 5657 9011 called and hung up without speaking ... second time this month.

Separately When an unsolicited call comes in and says it is a charity, ask for the full name of the charity and its ABN or ACN number then look it up (google) to check on it's status. Some groups with names similar to charities have been soliciting funds, as a charity.

Called already a few times, we have a silent number, how is it even possible for charities or Telemarketers to get to our number? Never used it, only for incoming calls from overseas. Very annoying once you take the call, they hung up.

If foolish enough to pick up the phone there is no answer. They keep on trying and leave no message. Do Not Call register does not cull this mob out. Grrrr

The call went straight to my text message saying I'd missed a call from this number.

I did not answer. Those responsible should tighten the law about these callers. One of the other people who commented about the DNC register. I entirely agree. My brother had his landline cancelled because he was so fed up with nuisance calls. These callers should get proper employment. What goes around comes around and I reckon most people will tell these callers where to go.

Call, (usually at dinner time), wait till you answer & then hang up? The question is WHY. Probably it's to get up their call quotas?
