May 3rd 2011  just recieved call from indian chap Roger and his supervisior so lucky to get 4600.42 from ATO what a crock  new number to call to complete transaction is (02) 6100 3403 these scammers should be hung, drawn and quartered; we all have better things to do than listen to their b***s***.

oh u r stup....i also got a cl frm ATO nd they told me same stryden i went to deposit $500 nd in return they gave me $5000 + apple i phone + $500 return of my deposit.u r such a big fool...shame on u...they r not indians , they accent is jst lyk an indian bt the ofcr was frm ATO....

Just recieved the same call but from a female calling herself Ceprecia from the Brisbane Grants Office. $199 for $4500...

Same story; I need to pay a secure depoist of $199 to receive $2,500 from ATO, only with the reason of been a good citezen and pay my tax on time.  I said to Jennifer Ok. please deduct $199 from my bonus of $2,500 and send me the difference.... ah and I prefer to receive a TT deposit into my Bank account (which you as Tax Recliam Department should have it) just to save my time to collect the cheque from the Post office.

Rec'd call today from polite man with fine accent who told me because i had been a good tax paying citizen that the Federal Govt wanted to give me $4500- to do with as i please.  Please!!! With all the flood damage etc etc and wanting to return the deficit to surplus by 2013 etc etc why would the govt want to give me this money to do whatever for the minor cost of $199.00!  Whilst remaining very very sceptical i then googled $4500- federal grant and found this site.  I then proceeded to thank him for his polite manner but had googled his scam and politely hung up.  THANK YOU GOOGLE!!

This scam is still happening even now in October.  Deposit $199 for $4500 return.  Indian caller named Roger from the same phone number. Reported to Fair Trading.
