australian contact line? what and who is this?

I called them back and spoke to 'Michelle' (Australian accent) who stated they're calling people on behalf of Insurance Line.
I asked how they obtained my number. She stated it was from various sources such as the whitepages (which I'm not in) and competitions or mailing lists I may have registered for.
Apparently it's for something that takes up less than a minute of my time.
Not interested!

This number called me, unsure how they got my number. Spam callers. Block this number.

I got this call, I didn't answer and I blocked them!

Just called my work number no answer and hung up. Bunch of bags of sh*ts

Missed call from "Australian Contact Centre". Based on what people have said above I'm assuming it was a scam and have added them to my blocked list.

I just received this phone call. I told them that I am not interested in and I don't want to waist your or my time. She understood.

Also identified as Australian Contact Centre, with someone speaking in an English accent but before they could go on, I asked him if this call was being recorded (to which he answered "Yes, but I was about to let you know"). At that point I told him that I didn't engage in recorded conversations, after which he hung up.

Just received a phone call from this number, and they hang up after I said hello???

Also received 2 calls which I didn't answer, now blocked. Unknown caller.

I'm 13 and I got this number (07) 5560 5500 calling me at 2:49 in the morning.

Just got a missed call and searched the number straight away. Reading the comments that its some scam for life insurance and I'm only 15! Honestly, why?

My wife sorted out pet insurance through Medibank last night, and I got a call from this number 5 minutes ago. I answered it, but they hung up immediately.

They called me yesterday and said im calling from Australian cantact centre and it looks a bit weird to me I disconnected the phone

Dropped the F bomb at me when I told him I wasn't interested -so classy -NOT!! Must be a scammer because you wouldnt expect a telemarketer to swear at you would you??
