...and if you search for National Consumer Service, nothing comes up.
I had a call from these asking if I'd seen the ad.s on TV for Real Insurance and when I said I had and wasn't interested in buying funeral insurance (because I think it's a scam, which I was polite enough not to say out loud), I was told "we're not selling funeral insurance; if I can just have 30 seconds of your time I'll explain"...and not given in a very nice way I'll add. I said "go right ahead; 30 seconds". She then asked if I had funeral insurance, and when I said no she hung up.
The second time they called and asked if I'd seen the ad.s, I said I had, that I wasn't interested because it's a scam, that I'd already been called by them, and that I'd like to be taken off the dialing list. "you're on a roll aren't you" was the response. "Can I just explain what it's about", "I know what it's about, I'm not interested, and I'd like to be taken off the list thanks"; "you're on a roll aren't you" he said again; suggesting possibly why he's working in a call center and maybe not writing for the New York Times. I was then put through to a "Manager" named Diane Williams who apparently removed my name from the dialing list.
