Got the message on my answering machine sounding very aggressive and his name was 'Officer' Benjamin Franklin. Rubbish.

I had call this afternoon threatening arrest and warrant for tax fraud ! With callback to this number (07) 5321 3043

Same as the rest. Got a call saying that I'm being investigate by the ATO Audit Department about my tax return from 2009 - 2013 & that I owe the tax office $3,000. It was an Indian speaking man who I couldn't understand well. He said I could call him back on the return number (07) 5321 3043. When I said so that's the ATO in Melbourne & he said yes. I knew then it was a scam as Melbourne area code is 03.

Rang today 3 May and left a message on machine say I will be arrested for tax fraud and to call them back. American voice and the line sounded very tinny. I didn't call back as it is an obvious scam.

Received a message on my answering machine ( American speaking voice) , threatening to have me arrested for TAX FRAUD !!! Idiot ..........

Thank you everyone for your comments. Helped me realise this was a scam call.
I received the first call last week and when I tried to call back from a private number it wouldn't go through. Unlikely the ATO!

Just received a call from this number, Labour Day, saying from Australian Tax Office. Indian speaking man but line was very distorted.

Received the tax fraud call at 11.45am Mon 2nd May in the NT. Labour day holiday in Qld and NT.

I had the same thing. Much the same as another number that just called me recently. They have called me 4 times in total on seperate occasions. All scams!

I received message that says I will be arrested by tax office and I have to call them soon as possible!! Absolutely scam be careful everyone please.

Left message saying i had to call back for charge details and if i didn't i would be arrested.
And i had to attend court on ANZAC Day. Seemed ligit. LoL.

Received a message on my answering machine from this number threatening to have me arrested for tax fraud. I called the number back and when I started questioning him he hung up, I called back again and he continued to make threats and refused to say who he wanted to speak to and just said his name was Ben

I had someone with a really bad accent leave a message threatening arrest for tax fraud?!?
