Caller: Scammers from the VISA and Mastercard

VISA and Mastercard scammers.

Caller: (07) 5241 1004

Answered the phone to a recorded voice claiming to be “visa services” saying $900 was being charged to my account for a crypto transaction, asking me to cancel or allow. Hung up immediately

I answered. Remained silent on the other end.

Caller: (07) 5241 1004 - Recorded message from PayPal

Recorded message said that there was about to be a $1099 charge taken out of my PayPal account, - press 1 to authorise and 2 to not authorise….. I pressed neither

Telstra scammer. Pretended to be from Telstra. Referred to an issue with my home internet connection, and suddenly dropped - I suspect with the intent of me calling back the number.

Around 11am 7/9/23 I had a call from (07) 5241 1004 on my mobile. The "caller" said she was from PayPal and there were 2 Apple product purchases. Press 1 to cancel
the payment .. Press 2 - I can't remember. I tried calling PayPal in Australia - was put through to USA - and eventually hung up. I've had excellent service from PayPal,
so this is not a criticism of their organisation.
