Caller: Heather Thomas

Heather Thomas from the Fundraising Centre has called me multiple times from different numbers over a period of several months. Today the same, very distinctive voice claimed to be Lucy Edwards from the Fundraising Centre. It's a scam.

Caller: Presumed pest

No-message calls on 7 and 12 July.

Just got a call from "fundraising center". It sounded a bit off (too polished like a TV ad) so decided to see if it was a bot. It was able to reply it's name when asked again "heather thomas" but when asked what the time was it didn't have a response from that. I then directly asked if it was a bot and it did an exact reponse i've head from a male bot which was something like "oh gosh do i really sound so bad that I sound like a robot?" and then it quickly ended the call. Definete scam.

I’m so sick of these phone calls. They come from Hobart or Brisbane. They call a few times a week and have done so for months no matter how many numbers I block.

I am 99% certain this an AI system calling. It has pre-programmed responses, there's a delay in it answering, and it can't answer all questions. Plus, NOBODY sounds like that when making charity phone calls. If someone's phone manner was actually that perfect, they'd be in TV or radio voiceover, not making charity calls. The actual human charity callers are terrible at it and fall all over themselves trying to remember what they're supposed to say.

Have had many calls from various numbers, always the same female voice with various names, claiming to be raising funds for a worthy cause. Responses are unusual so I strongly suspect its either a bot calling, or someone behind the scenes pressing buttons to play pre-recorded sentences in a pleasant Aussie voice. Possibly a scam.

This is a scam. She has been calling my number from various numbers in various states claiming to be calling on behalf of some charities.

Has called me dozens of times despite blocking numbers. Next time I will engage and talk for as long as I can going fake details. Will waste their time. These aholes

Ah joy... it's Heather again... Told her my charity giving is fully allocated and hung up. Blocked the number

Have had several calls from this woman after responding to her first call then being bombarded with requests for donations from many different places.

I have asked her several times now to not contact us again but to no avail

Please report calls such as this to us by calling the Quality Officer on (03) 8470 1111 or emailing info @ yourcommunityhealth.org.au. We are investigating and reporting these incidences.

This scammer rang me again after 7 days.
Number blocked, deleted and reported again

Caller: Heather Thomas from Community Charity

She called me at work on the reception phone. She gave me weird vibes and said that it would only take a minute when I told her that she is calling on my work phone whilst I'm at work. I said goodbye and hung up.

rang twice in 2 minutes but i never answered because i had presumed it to be a scammer.

A few calls from this number - no message left

Caller: I do not know, hung up when I answered.

Spam calls most days from midday on, then late afternoon come early evening.

Caller: Our community fundraising

Rung at dinner time (like all good pesky phone callers) asking how I am and have I had a good day. I asked them to stop calling me and to remove. Y number from their list - which they never do.
