Someone claiming to be from Telstra - the number supposedly originated from Cairns and was offering my mobile number some discounts. When I asked more questions she hung up.

Spam said they were from Optus and can give me a better deal with internet and asked certain details..knew it was a scam so people please 🙏 especially vulnerable our grandparents etc please let them know not to answer unknown you can always go into an Optus shop

Caller: The same number

The same number called me just then, saying they were from Telstra and that I would be receiving 50% off my bills for the next 6 months. Call originated from Cairns and once confirming my email they sent me a code to reset my Microsoft password which I said I’m not giving them and then they hung up out of annoyance.

Claiming to offer a better deal but the phone number attached is the work phone.

Missed the call. They left a voice message but was just silence with clicking in the background before they hung up. My phone registered the call as spam.

Claimed they were with nbn needing to run some checks, and calling from Exhibition St, Melbourne?) though the number identified as a QLD Cairns phone number. He asked me about download speeds. Then asked me to search anydesk.com at this point I terminated the call.

Said he was from Telstra and asking for my father who actually died 4 years ago. Absolutely appalled. He then asked my name which I refused to disclose and I told him I'll be blocking the number.
