Caller: It was an email we received

We had an email saying it's from Westpac regarding an authorised instalment payment to "Sydney Orthopaedic Specialists", however the email address was showing as coming from danwayne6 @ bigpond.com. Checking the number on this site, it notes a house address, however when we called the number given, there is a message saying you're through to WestPac and immediately launches into the "if you're wanting self-service banking using your Customer number and 3-digit access code press 1 or for all other enquiries press 2", at which point we hung up the phone! It's showing as a Cairns number. DODGY AS!!!

Caller: email claimed from Westpac

Email claimed from Westpac but sender address random something else, notifying of transaction and to ring this number to query, with link on the phone number than can be clicked on in message. Clearly a scam.
