This is a SCAM - claiming to be from QLD Department of Public Prosecutions. They leave a recorded message saying that you have a pending legal matter against you and for tax evasion and your residence is under surveillance. The official website for the the DPP actually mentions that this is a scam.

I got a call from this number. Claimed to be from the ATO and they threatened me with arrest if I didn't call the number back within 8 hrs. I called the number (from my silent work phone) and it went to a voice message. This is a scam.

I received two calls from this number today in quick succession which I let go to voicemail. The message was automated advising I was under investigation for tax matters and I had 8 hours to call back or legal proceedings would commence.

They now are from the taxation office

I received a call from this number - this time they have a recorded Australian male voice telling me I have pending legal action and to ring them back. Amazing - who would fall for this sh*t?

I got the same call from this number called the number back several times from a different land line telephone number and no answer
