Caller: Guide Dogs From a short stint working at a call centre I learned that there is no point saying don't ring me again or take me off the Guide Dogs call list, instead you need to ask who the caller works for, and then tell them to take you off that companys call list. Asking to be taken off the Guide Dogs call list will just mean a call from another charity if it's a call centre doing the calls.

Caller: Guide Dogs Qld Guide Dogs Queensland partner with Guide Dogs Victoria. If you are based in Victoria and purchase products through us, the monies spent go to your state to ensure the money is used in your region. It does get confusing but I assure you the funds are directed to where the Supporter originates.

Answered the call - and greeted the caller twice - no response. They eventually hung up after about 30-50 seconds of silence

Caller: Guide Dogs I blocked this number ages ago. I get 'missed call' notifications now because any calls go straight to spam.
I bought a few products from their online store several years back and they have not stopped trying to contact me ever since. Now, when I look at online shopping sites, if it's a charity organisation, I no longer buy from them as I don't want to be harassed by follow up calls chasing money. I have my regular charities which I support and those are what I stick with.
Sadly, most charities no longer do their own fund-raising, instead using marketing company call-centres (so a percentage of any donation goes to the call-centre first) and these call-centres are over the top.
I think it works like this:
If you get a call that hangs up when you answer, that's a computer, logging the time when you answer and then when someone is available, they'll try to ring you at around the same time. The variation on that is a computer calls and if an operator is available when you pick up, they grab the call... the hangups are either the computer logging the time you answered or the computer hanging up because there's no operators available to answer you.
It got so bad for me at one stage, I had to delete old 'blocked' numbers to add new ones!

Caller: Guide Dogs I donate to them, but I won't be any longer if they keep calling me up as I find it rude. They ring all the time and it is too much! They interrupt my day and keep calling when I have asked them not to ring me. People do not like to be called up and asked for even more money! It is really rude and they will lose sponsors.

They left no message, and upon checking this page, finally discovered who they are. I live in Melbourne and am a regular donor to Guide Dogs Vic, so I'm not sure why they think I'd want to donate to the same organisation out of state? Oh, well.

Caller: Guide Dogs Queensland I asked them not to call yet they are now doing so several times. I used this lookup to see who it was, now they will lose my support. Harassment is not a way to win support. Sad as it is such a worthy cause but they were not given permission to bombard my phone disturbing me all the time.

My Answer phone always on, just let it ring until my message comes on then they hang up without a message. Wasting their money not mine.

Caller: Guide Dogs I have no problem with Guide Dogs calling if they left a message, happy to call back, but when your number gets dialed every hour or 2 once a day and no message left, it becomes an annoying call and gives this great charity a bad name when they do so much for the training of guide dogs and helping vision impaired or blind people

I answered the call but no one spoke. Ended up hanging up. They called back immediately. I answered again and got the same outcome. Ended up blocking the number.
