I had a legitimate call from the Red Cross for this to follow up on an upcoming appointment. Looking at other comments they may have appeals, however I've never had such a call myself.

I only donate blood to the red cross (no money) as I am of the understanding that Australia imports a lot of their blood, and frankly I prefer to donate dollars to other causes.

On that note - I can't believe the comment ranked highest here by "Joseph Blowseph" in West Hoxton is so overly racist.

It started like a simple "They raised money for X but then saw that they gave money to Y" semi-legitimate comment - Keeping in mind that it was likely sensationalised by the media to appeal to hatred such as yours, then you go on a rant about a nation. If you have a legitimate argument, articulate it appropriately and respectfully. I hope the world doesn't see all Australians to be like you.

This number phoned my mobile and home phone simultaneously. When answering both phones, no-one responded, so I hung up immediately, presuming it to be a scam.
