I got a call from (07) 3732 2550 on my mobile at 6.13pm this evening. An Indian or similar girl said 'hello', then 'hello', as did I. After a short period she started speaking and the only word I understood was 'Shannons' Being the receiver of periodic calls of nuisance nature I asked her who she was and could not understand the response. I asked her to prove her bona fides by by telling me where I lived, which did not occur, I then asked if she could tell me how many cars I had insured (which are with Shannons) to receive an unintelligible response. I then concluded the call advising I would make a complaint with Shannons or other authorities if the call was mischievous.

It's a scam caller, when you call back within 5 minutes the number comes up as disconnected. Definitely dodgy.

Definitely Suncorp group called on my NSW Private Landline. This number is used by the call centre staff automated switchboards.
Also FYI, Suncorp owns GIO, AAMI, Shannon's and couple of others I can't think of right now.

It is AMMI calling - as they are calling out on the land line - they ill be required to ask for personal details to vouch for the call. This should occur only cause there has been a request - as in my case a claim report made. And they are responding

Legitimate number for Suncorp Group. It’s the number that appears when the contact centre calls outbound. They may sometimes need to do a privacy check and verify your details when they call you - same protocol for when you call them.

Caller: Suncorp Group Outgoing Calls

If you call back, you'll get a recorded message telling you it was from a Suncorp company and they will call you back (they use a pool of numbers for outgoing calls).

If anyone asks for my details, I always ask if I can call or to a branch.

Caller: Suncorp Group Call Centre

This is a legit number. Under the Suncorp group are many insurers including Suncorp, Vero, Aami, Apia, Gio, Shannons and they ALL route through this call centre number that will display when calling. Your information is required to ensure the agent is speaking with the right person, if you don't want to give it the agent can send you an email it's not an issue.

Aussie guy claims to be from AAMI asked for personal details, didn't want to confirm said my address was different, told him to send me an email.

I have called the number back its says its AAMI but does not give an option to get through, definitely a scam for personal details. AAMI call centre number is different and has a Melbourne number also.

Not a scam at all people. But if in doubt look up a business number for yourself & call them directly.
