Caller: Suncorp Bank (Now part of ANZ) I called this number from a letter that was posted to me. They are confirming the details of customers to comply with Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF Act 2006). You can confirm the validity of this number by checking this page on the Suncorp Bank website: https://www.suncorpbank.com.au/help-support/customer-identification.html or by going to the Suncorp Bank website & searching for "Customer Verification", or alternatively going into a Suncorp Bank branch. If you do have an account with Suncorp Bank, it will be frozen until you verify your identify with the bank.

This web page on Suncorp's website lists this number as a valid number.
If in doubt call back on this or the main Suncorp number as its possible to forge the caller ID number to make it look like the caller is calling from that number.

Caller: Someone from Suncorp Bank. I had previously it must be a scam. But a Google search shows this number as a search on a website which is Suncropbank.com.au and the page is titled customer details. So perhaps it is not a scam. So I am confused. I don’t have time to call the bank and my accounts haven’t been used for a long time and have little money in them. So I can’t be bothered. But check with Suncorp bank- bc the number is listed there.

Caller: A man. And said they had sent me information from Suncorp Bank and to fill out details from letter. They left a voicemail message as I don’t pick up numbers that I don’t know. . It seems others have had similar calls, claiming to be Suncorp Bank. So it is a scam.
