Marketing telephone systems may call a number of phones connecting through to the mobile that answers first disconnecting the calls to other numbers......Just hear say but makes sense to me.

this cant be a telemarketer as they wouldnt keep hanging up when you answer. but becareful. My brother answered a number similar and lost all the credit he had on his prepaid phone. They can hack into your phone once you answer.

This number rang, and disconnected as I answered the phone. Expecting a return call from a customer I rang the number back without checking in here first. "David" answered the phone, they knew my name and then started to tell me about cerebral palsy. I refused to listen to their spiel, and they did their best to "promote their $30,000" something or other, I told them I was not interested and promptly hung up on them reminding them I wanted my number removed from their list.
