Caller: The Australian Child Maltreatment Study (ACMS)

Survey for the Australian Child Maltreatment Study run by the Queensland University of Technology. Their website states "People are selected using a random telephone number generator. You have been invited simply because your phone number was generated by this random process"

I received a voicemail from the same number also saying they were from University of Queensland looking to conduct a survey. I checked the Uni website and it does not look like it is their number so I would tend to treat this as a phishing scam.

they also sent me a sms with a link to click and do a survey!!!

answered and no-one there, line disconnected after about 10 seconds

Sent me an SMS. Disturbed family time. Australian Child Maltreatment Study was where they were from (associated with QUT by the looks) and were randomly selecting numbers to call.

Cold calling like this should be illegal.

Thanks to others who commented on this. I also got a text this morning from Queensland university then got phone call tonight. Didn’t answer but checked number so have now blocked.

I got a SMS about Survey for the Australian Child Maltreatment Study and then a call from this number.

Scammers. The text says my telephone number chosen at random, and you'd think this is legit when it happens once, but when I keep getting "chosen at random", I smell a rat. Don't click or take any links provided by the scammer.
