Unsolicited calls...automated...etc.

Likely a scam call. A recorded voice said that for research purposes (which research, not identified?) you need to press 1 for male, 2 for female. Most scams want you to "press 1", so recommend you hang up and don't press anything.

Caller: I suspect the LNP or an associated group

They did a political survey but threw out loaded questions like "Did you know the Teals sided with Labor 70% of the time" and "what do you think about clean, emission free, nuclear power"
They had an authorised by bit at the end that they said too quickly to understand but sounded like "by your local member" however my local member is from the Greens and it definitely wasn't from them. Perhaps my address in their records is wrong, but maybe I misheard it. Normally they have to give a full name and affiliation, so a bit suss.

This caller wanted to know more about my area which is really suspicious. Be really careful as it's definitely sounds like a robo-caller survey to me.

I have the number banned and they Tried to ring 28 times in 12 minutes

6:15pm 10/5/22- went to answering machine….For research purposes tell us if you are you male or female. Press 1 for male press 2 for female. Repeated message then caller said…Thank you for providing this information. Good bye. This is a community survey.

My husband and I had a call from this number at precisely the same time, called back and recorded message said "for research purposes, please tell us if you're male or female", I hung up then.

This was an unsolicited call from an automated system. “This is a community survey press 1 for male & 2 for female”.
