Someone purporting to be from EBay called to advise that my IP address had been compromised and a purchase had been made from my IP address in the amount of $500. She gave me her "EBay Employee Number" EIN (07) 7043 0924 which is actually EBay's taxpayer identification number or TIN or IRS Number. She asked me to confirm the current status of my IP address. When I told her "her" employee number was not hers and it belonged to EBay as a company, she hung up.
