Caller: Qld Communications Development Qld Communication Development, they've been calling every day saying they're contracted by NBN to do an upgrade to fibre optic cabling in our area. They ask a lot of questions about current phone system set up and how many lines the business has etc. If you ask them any questions about the planned upgrade, they cut you off with a curt remark, 'like call your provider yourself', or 'we'll send you an email with the information'.

Similar to other comments. They seemed genuine at first about wanting to check if their "work" had caused any outages recently. Suddenly I was being asked what phones systems I use and how many lines we use even though I reported to them we had not experienced any outages recently. They ended their phone call but asking who the owner was and if he is overseas currently? Umm...? No. You don't need to know this. I think they might actually be a information collection agency operating under the pretense of checking if their work had impacted you. Very suspicious and very unwelcome.

Caller: QLD Communications Group Called stating they are doing upgrades in the area and if we had experienced any outages. Then wanted to know what phone system and how many lines were connected. Then requested a mobile phone number to send a text message to regarding outages. Sounds like they are looking for information to sell phone systems

Yes similar to other comments - she even said I'm not trying to sell you anything. we work with the NBN ...... and yes why do you want to know how old my phones are? "just so we have an idea of the impact our interruption may have on the type of phones people have..... mmm yes, information gathering for the real future scammer to call. and don't answer any questions with a YES.
