Caller claimed to be from the Visa/Mastercard Fraud department and asked if I had authorised a transaction that day. I said I did, he was surprised at that - then he asked if I had authorised a transaction for $1800, when I said no - he said he is calling specifically about that transaction. However when I asked what name is listed on that account as I have several (not true btw) he hung up on me. I thought that was rude. Have blocked number anyway as it obviously was a scam.

Female caller said my amazon account was about to be renewed at $99.99 and I should press 1 if I wished to cancel it. I pressed 1 and a male started to ask me if I had any internet shopping accounts. I hung up.

The initial call came from an automated call center and inquired about a bogus ebay transaction and gave me three options 1 to confirm, 2 to reject or 9 to talk to an operator. After selecting 9 I ended up in some overseas call center where there was considerable background noise while the person that answered had a very heavy accent that appeared to be Indian. This operator didn't have a clue about what was going on so I hung up immediately and blocked the number.

When answered call went through to automated recording 'Brenda from ANZ bank' stating authorisation request for over $1000 had been received, press 1 if this wasn't you, press 2 to authorise. I hung up, then received 2 more calls from other numbers in quick succession.

Caller with a thick Indian accent called, claiming to be from Mastercard. I thought it was most likely a scam call, and cancelled the call. Seeing that there have been so many complaints about this number, why don't the authorities take action?

Rang saying that someone had purchased an E-Bay gift card and I needed to give her my IP address from my phone so as they could block further problems. I feel sorry for genuine Indian people trying to ring friends or companies these days as most people will just hang-up as soon as their accent.

Woman with Indian accent called, caller ID: (07) 3521 3062, claiming to be calling from Telstra headquarters in Victoria and she was concerned of the security of my internet and persuaded me to check it out on a computer following her instructions. She game me her name as Lauren Smith, work ID D482713 but obviously they’re fake. Told her I preferred to contact Telstra myself when I’m free but she told me she’ll call me back which I turned down, then she hang up.

A woman called and (07) 3521 3062 showed up on the called ID. She claimed to be from Green Saver. I said I've never heard of heard of Green Saver. She claimed it was a Government program to assist in replacing old electric hot water systems to a more efficient one. I said mine is gas, she said then why are you wasting my time and immediately hung up on me.

Female Indian accept claimed to be from Visa Security advising I had a transaction from my account, taken by a man’s name and wanting me to confirm if I know that man. I said I would call back and she immediately hung up. Don’t accept this call - clearly a scam

Unknown caller because their call didn't ring through because they were intercepted by my Telstra Call Guardian, who instructed them that they MUST announce themselves & press # in order to be put through to me....they didn't....another scammer bites the dust, & I wasn't inconvenienced one bit...phone didn't ring...... thanks to Telstra Call Guardian....now they are permanently blocked....
