Received a call from this number telling me about electricity prices etc. I wasn't interested and blocked it.

illegal activity told someone had used my name to set up fraudulent accounts, I replied if I buy the vaseline could I f@#k them up the ass

Caller said they were from Amazon and asked if I or anyone from my family had purchased an iPhone from them. I hung up.

Claimed to be calling from Amazon saying an iPhone had been ordered on my account and wanting to "verify" the order. Determined they have an email and old mailing address for me so they do have some bought/stolen data. When I pointed out I can't be certain they are who they say they are, they SMSed me a code, purportedly from Amazon, and also offered to email me a code. They humoured me when I said I'd prefer to contact Amazon directly through a method I can verify and even told me to ask for the "Verifications Team". They hung up on me once they determined I wasn't going to fall for it. Absolute scum.

They (he said his name was Derek) said they were calling about my Telstra internet connection. I said I was not with Telstra and hung up.

Caller: Purporting to be from the Commonwealth Bank

Indian man with a strong accent reporting a pending $500.00 payment from my account requiring authorisation.
Of course, I hung up. Someone else tried some weeks ago, this time with a VISA transaction!

Indian sounding lady said she was calling from Telstra regarding my internet tower

Caller: They Said they are from NAB

They said they were from NAB. They reported unusual transactions and said they can hold the transactions. I said to the male caller (with an unusual accent), I would like to stop the call and call NAB myself.
They promptly hung up on me. Just to show, they are scammers.

Scammers checking whether you have left any identifying names/ voice on your voice mail box response. They will use this later to be able to address you by name.
A text comes indicating someone has called without leaving a message. If they did ring, it wasn't long enough for the phone to ring or even detect that there was an incoming call. And then a text comes indicating a missed call.

Told male operator I was in rental property & a pensioner, also hard of hearing. Told him he'd best ring someone else who could help him as I couldn't. Operator thanked me, wished me the best & hung up.
