Caller: Scammer

Wanted to discuss a transaction with commonwealth bank. Not a customer of this bank so knew it wasn’t legit. Delay before answering. Overseas call centre ported through Queensland number.

Which AUSTRALIAN telco is flogging these bastards numbers to allow them to attempt these scams? Why are we letting them to go unpunished?. Or are the making too much money scammer phone calls?

Scammer: Claimed to be from Visa card security

Hung up the moment I answered. I suspect I’ll be getting follow up scam calls now.

Recorded message re a suspicious transaction on Via. If you press 1 to say the transaction is not authorised it goes through to a male with Indian accent. He claims to be from Via Fraud Squad and claims to have identified a fraudulent transaction of $1200 for Bitcoin. Sounds legit to begin with but when asked more questions to verify identity etc he became evasive and eventually hung up.

If they won't leave a message, they are 100% scammers. I do not answer ANY calls I cannot identify. So blocking this pest

Got a call from (07) 3521 6741, did not answer but I assume this number is also a scam/spam call as the first 6 digits match.

I agree telco co. need to be responsible.

I had a missed call as my phone security Blocks potentially fraud. I always come on here first and check the number then I block them, I have been getting a few lately.

Caller: Supposedly Amazon Prime

Said I had subscribed to the Amazon Prime service did I want to unsubscribe. Told them had not authorised a subscribed account, she insisted that to cancel she would have to complete a form for me and needed my details. I hung up.

Caller: Marketer for Amazon Prime

Said I had subscribed to the Amazon Prime service did I want to unsubscribe. Told them had not authorised a subscribed account, she hung up. Will lodge formal complaint.

She said she was calling about my Amazon subscription at $39. I knew it was a scam because I don't have one. I said to her that she was a liar and she said "Who told you that?" When I started saying that I do not have a subscription, she hung up on me. It was clear it was an overseas call centre with all the background noise and her thick accent. Block this number!!

Scam called pretending to be ATO.

Scam. “Call from Amazon”. I don’t even use Amazon

tried to say they were from Telstra and that there is an issue with my internet. clearly an overseas call centre and sounded like a scam to me.

(07) 3521 3041 said money was coming out of my bank when questioned what bank it wasn't a bank I used. He then changed banks name to another bank I don't use.
