Caller: Someone claiming to be from NBN

Has been harassing my mother for a week. My mother gave him my number to talk to me as she is computer illiterate and seems to think this is a legitimate call. Asks to check internet speed through Telstra. Advises internet speed is very slow. Tells me to enter in a website to increase speed of the internet. Asked me to look up quick support to check legitimacy of call. I googled what quick support is. Results say this can give someone access to your computer remotely. Seems like a scam to access details of computer. I told the caller I would call NBN to talk to them and hung up when he wanted to transfer to supervisor. He then calls back on mobile number 0418 164 375 demanding to know why I hung up. Told him to not call back and I would call NBN.

Caller: Said they were NBN

Called and said they were NBN and said my internet had been compromised. As I wasn’t at home he said he would call back this evening. Gave me his name and ID as NBN Eric Wilson ID DLM28785.
Naturally this raised alarm bells even though our internet had been playing up. When I got home I contacted my supplier, they detected a fault and will be addressing it. Reading Anonymous above I agree, don’t trust them. Speak with your carrier only!!

Unknown number to me, I did not answer if genuine they will leave a message. No message left. Blocked. Scammers.

Rang and I wanted a few second and then they hung up

I got a call from this number and looks like a scam. Golden rule - number that you don't recognise don't answer it.

Caller: I don't know

Said the person is calling from Security Department about an international transaction. I said there was no international transaction made, and she hung up.

This number plus many others like this keep calling and I know it’s a scam weird voice saying I called when I didn’t or that I lost $800 in my account.

Did not answer... they left no message... blocked them immediately. Smells of a scam!!!

Just when does the Australian Governments become wide and deal with these cock roaches. with several other past calls I have been waiting for several seconds and then say "Police. How can I help you? Immediate hang ups!!!

I always pause for 2-3 seconds when answering calls, then say hello. As it might be a bot. They usually hang up if they hear nothing. Yes, this is an annoying spam call. BLOCK 'em

First a call from a mobile number I don’t recognise (no one at the other end) then this number. Both on a public holiday. Scammers. Block.

Called saying internet technician to faster the internet. Scammer. Took money from my father’s account. Blocked immediately!

I received a call from a foreign person saying they were from NBN and that there was issues with my internet speed. I normally don"t answer unknown numbers after having a recent scam attempt. I didn't think that this was legitimate so I hung up.

Scam call from Amazon telling me they would renew my subscription for $99.99 hung up on the automated voice message .

Male Indian caller said someone has been hacking into my internet. I needed to download an app to give him access to my internet to fix it. Hung up and blocked the number. Scam scam scam

Had a missed call from them after 6pm. No voice message left.

Apparently from Amazon stating your fees will be renewed for $90. Recorded voice message. SCAM!!

Caller: Scammer

Didn’t answer. Went to messages and they started talking asking about nbn stuff before they realised it was a message bank.

I received a similar call from the same number identifying themselves as being from the Australian NBN service. When I questioned who they were or why they were calling me, after I had established it was me they were looking to talk to, I noted the call was coming from a number I did not recognise they ended the call. This would appear to be a complete SCAM number.

I just had someone ringing from (07) 3521 3031. I decline that call as I don't know who it was. I tried to find out who it's listed with but no details. If anyone who rings me really wants to talk to me but I don't know the number, they MUST LEAVE A MSG or I know it's a scam.
