Scam caller spoke with foreign accent phishing for personal details

Caller: Mater Lotteries (who use telemarketers)

Looking for someone who does not and never has owned our phone number. This person must have given our number (ours since 1981) to someone who has on-sold the number to telemarketers, because we are constantly pestered by telemarketers looking for this person.

As soon as I answered they hang up, how rude

Lots of companies use caller software now, if you don't answer the call and asked to be removed from the list it will just keep dialing your number repeatedly.

Apparently this was from Mater Lotteries (again). Like others, call had stopped buy the time I got to my phone and no message was left. I had already addressed this several times with their customer service team, so after yet another call tonight, I've cancelled my ongoing contributions. No other charity that I contribute to does this, and there are plenty of others that will accept my meagre contributions without harassing me for more. Hasta La Vista, baby.

I blocked this number 3 weeks ago.....but they still try phoning every day as I get SMS missed call.

If they dont stop pestering me ill drop my subscription

Mater Hospital constantly harasses you day in and day out to buy more tickets. I have told them that I will cancel my subscription if they call me again. So over it.

I get calls from this number everyday during lunch and around 5pm. Never answered any of it as they don't leave any message. It's been going on for almost two months now.

was a automated message saying i owe the tax department and to enter bank details before i receive enforcement this is a scam

I block this number But the call me every day I can see the number But my mobile is not ringing I think the don’t have anything else to do I just ignore them

You need to understand what Harassment means!

Despite if you have purchased previously with them or a VIP member with them. Constant calls weekly or daily begging you to purchase more tickets, or is the true definition of harassment, unwanted and unsolicited calls!!
Making a purchase with a company does not give legal grounds to harass their customers constantly to make more purchases.
Constantly calling customers to purchase more tickets into the monthly draw. Despite advising them you have made an online purchase to monthly buy the same amount of tickets, harassing customers to purchase more each month is HARASSMENT.

multiply calls all a one ring hang up, generating a missed call message , sounds like a scam to me

No answer to voicemail just background noise. I’ve been getting a lot of scam calls, I guess this is another.
